Sexuality & Gender Consulting for Group Therapy Practices
Competence feels so good, both to clinicians and their clients
Build confidence in your practice’s work with sexuality and gender
Sexual and gender minority clients will usually be able to tell whether they feel welcome within the very first interactions with your practice. They will often scrutinize their first several interactions with your website and your team to look for signals that they are welcome. Many will wait until they see signals of safety before they broach their questions related to gender or sexuality.
Everyone deserves a safe and welcoming space to grow, but seeking therapy can be vulnerable and daunting, especially for sexual and gender minorities.
Who are sexual and gender minority clients?
Sexual orientation: lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, pansexual, asexual
Gender identity: transgender, non-binary, gender-expansive, gender-fluid, two-spirit
Alternative sexual practices: BDSM-involved or kinky, sex workers
Alternative relationship practices: polyamourous, ethically non-monogamous (ENM), open relationships, swingers
I provide support & education to group therapy practices to better care for sexual & gender minority clients
Why choose to work with me?
You want to signal that your practice is a safe place for sexual and gender minority clients. And you want to feel confident that you know how to actually be a safe place for them
You want to be in integrity when you say your practice welcomes sexual and gender minority clients, and feel at ease knowing that your team is competent to treat them
You want to feel confident that your team knows how to discuss complex issues related to sexuality that may be seen as shameful or taboo in your community. You want to grow your clinician competence in treating sexuality-related issues, and want to know when you should refer out to a sex therapist
You want to empower your clinicians to know what language to use, what to ask, when to ask it, and what not to ask. You want to trust that your team knows how to broach and assess sexuality-related concerns without being intrusive or voyeuristic
You want to normalize alternative sexual and relationship practices for your clients and reduce the stigma that these clients face when seeking therapy with you
Meet Noelle Clason, LMFT

PhD Candidate in Human Sexuality
Your guide to a more inclusive practice
I'm Noelle, a licensed marriage and family therapist, sex therapist, and Ph.D. student specializing in human sexuality. For the past ten years, my studies and clinical practice have been dedicated to understanding, supporting, and celebrating sexual and gender minorities, their relationships, sexualities, and sex lives. I am driven by a passion for teaching celebratory, accepting, and sex-positive approaches to sexuality and gender in my research and clinical work.
My practice specializes in serving sexual and gender minority clients. As a queer, cisgender woman who practices ethical non-monogamy and is involved in sex-positive and BDSM practices, I am deeply connected to these underserved communities personally and professionally. Clients who work with me know that they are seeing a specialist in sexuality and gender, and value both the clinical and personal experience and perspectives that I bring.
My mission is to empower you and your practice better to serve clients with diverse sexual and gender identities and to help you create an environment where clients feel truly welcomed from their very first interaction with you. Let’s build toward the grounded confidence that competence so often brings.
